Inside Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak’s win at the GovMedia Conference & Awards 2026

The Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak drives sustainability through cross-sector collaboration.

YBhg. Datu Abg Ahmad Abg Morni, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak, shared how cross-sector partnerships between agencies, industries, and local communities made the blueprint truly multi-sectoral.

He also discussed the Sustainable Resources & Wastes Management Bill 2025, which has strengthened resource efficiency across the entire waste lifecycle. 

Following the Ministry’s win in the Malaysia Sustainability Initiative of the Year - Environment category at the GovMedia Conference & Awards 2026, the recognition affirmed the team’s ambitious, effective, and replicable approach to sustainability.
