Bank Negara Indonesia lands two wins at GovMedia Awards 2025
It won the Indonesia Public Sector Initiative of the Year - Finance and Indonesia Digital Transformation of the Year - Finance awards.
PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI, a state-owned bank, has been honoured with two prestigious awards at the GovMedia Conference & Awards 2025: the Indonesia Public Sector Initiative of the Year - Finance and Indonesia Digital Transformation of the Year - Finance. These accolades recognise BNI's innovative BNI Smart Ecosystem and its significant contributions to government digitalisation initiatives.
The BNI Smart Ecosystem offers comprehensive, end-to-end solutions to clients through strategic partnerships with technology providers. This ecosystem supports public healthcare, education, and infrastructure development with innovative financing and digital solutions.
Amongst the programmes under the BNI Smart Ecosystem is the BNI Smart Healthcare, a programme that is designed to assist hospitals and the healthcare industry in managing their operations more effectively. It is an integrated solution that combines banking services with hospital information management systems, enabling hospitals to streamline administrative processes, improve service quality, and enhance patient care.
Another one is the Campus Financial Ecosystem (CFest), which helps students and faculty interact more efficiently whilst promoting campus digitalisation. CFest has created a fully integrated banking experience, providing students and staff with seamless access to financial services and supporting the digital transformation of university operations.
Similarly, BNI Smart Tenant is another solution under the Smart Ecosystem, offering solutions to customers who manage industrial areas, residential areas, tourist areas, commercial buildings, markets, and other similar properties, requiring end-to-end management support with a digital solution approach.
Supporting government digitalisation initiatives
Furthermore, BNI was recognised for its unwavering support of various government digitalisation programmes under the Govtech Projects initiative, demonstrating its commitment to national development.
In 2024, BNI partnered with the Ministry of Health to pioneer the Health Operational Assistance (BOK) ecosystem solution, transforming over 9,000 public health centres from manual to digital systems, enhancing transparency and reducing corruption risks.
Another significant contribution by BNI is a modernised Indonesia's revenue collection system through the State Revenue Module, implementing the first MPN QRIS nationwide for IDR and USD, a digital payment solution using QR codes that streamlined revenue collection processes.
Through its innovative solutions and robust infrastructure, the bank has earned its position as a trusted partner in fostering economic growth and delivering transformative financial solutions. This has been recognised by the awards programme, as BNI bags Indonesia Digital Transformation of the Year - Finance category.
