A new international achievement for Ajman Chamber at the GovMedia 2026 Conference and Awards

Ajman Chamber's data-driven service strategy and zero-bureaucracy approach earned it a smart government accolade.

Ajman Chamber continued to reap international achievements, winning the United Arab Emirates E-Governance Project of the Year - Smart Government category at the GovMedia 2026 Conference & Awards in Singapore, in recognition of its innovative efforts in developing, managing, and planning its services in accordance with best modern practices.

The award was received by His Excellency Mahmoud Othman Abu Al-Shurab, Member of Ajman Chamber's Board of Directors, during the GovMedia 2026 Conference and Awards, which provides a platform to honour leading government initiatives and distinguished models that contribute to improving government performance and enhancing service efficiency in the Asia-Pacific region.

His Excellency Mahmoud Abu Al-Shurab stressed that the Chamber's receipt of this international award reflects the success of its efforts in developing its customer service system, enhancing innovation in service delivery, adopting global best international practices in digital transformation, and establishing a dynamic approach that relies on understanding the needs of customers and providing more efficient, flexible and higher-quality services, in a way that enhances its leading position at the international level and supports the economic and investment competitiveness and attractiveness of the Emirate of Ajman.

He added, "The Chamber relies on several key pillars in the stages of developing its services on an ongoing basis, including involving customers in the design and improvement of services as an essential partner in the development process, building systems based on customer behaviour as a basis for design and decision-making, and employing digital solutions and artificial intelligence technologies, with the aim of improving the efficiency of services and enhancing their responsiveness and effectiveness."

Ajman Chamber has developed its services through its 2024–2026 Customer Service Strategy. This strategy relies on strategic analysis, experience design, capacity building, implementation, and continuous improvement. It is based on a review of operational procedures, mystery shopper reports, and customer satisfaction surveys. Furthermore, it incorporates a methodology for measuring customer effort and evaluating the ease of procedures and speed of service delivery, in addition to the use of SWOT analysis and benchmarking against regional chambers, to ensure that development is aligned with customer behaviour and expectations.

Ajman Chamber is keen to promote the transformation and development of its services by adopting a methodology for monitoring and analysing challenges, reducing the frequency of complaints and addressing them proactively. This is further supported by "Zero Bureaucracy" programme, which redesigns services in a flexible digital manner that reduces complexity, increases performance efficiency and enhances service continuity.
